Hike and Snowshoe

HIKE TO THE ITHAKA SHIPWRECK IN SUMMER OR SNOWSHOE UNDER THE AURORA AND THROUGH THE BOREAL FOREST IN WINTER

ADVENTURE AWAITS!

The Wrecks of Churchill

$139.95 + GST August - September

In 1960 the M.V. Ithaca shipwrecked on the Hudson Bay coastline 16kms east of the Town of Churchill after a large storm in Hudson Bay.

In 1979 Miss Piggy crashed on the rocky coastline of Hudson Bay, just short of the airport after running into engine problems.

Join us on a guided tour to visit both famous wrecks of Churchill and enjoy a low tide coastal hike to get to the Ithaca shipwreck  in Bird Cove.

*The Ithaca hike requires being able to walk over a coastal low tide area with small rocks in some spots and possible shallow pools.

If there's enough time on the way back we will also stop into the Polar Bear holding facility!
